I got to do a concert once with Paul Williams, and yes, he sang Rainbow Connection. Great song. I need to watch that movie again. Our family watched The Muppet Show religiously. Never missed an episode. Of course, we didn’t have a VCR, so we had to watch it when it was on.
Those were the days. ( Cue Jean Stapleton and Carroll O’Connor.)

It’s always good to see a bear in its natural habitat, a Studebaker.

Even though I went to high school in the early 2000s, whenever someone said they played the drums, someone ALWAYS had to imitate animal and go “I WANT TO......EAT DRUMS!”

That would have been interesting to play with Paul Williams. An old school pro.We also religiously watched the muppet show. I’m pretty sure it had a huge part in forming my sense of humor.

An old school pro.
So much this. I’ve worked with more than a few famous people, and many of them have been selfish divas who are only interested in themselves (I’m talking to you, Marvin Hamlisch). Williams was the consummate professional, treated the orchestra as his equal, didn’t condescend to anybody. It was a real pleasure working with him. The world needs more old school pros and less divas.
